PUR-Blue™ Swab Samplers are designed to help the user vigorously scrub a surface to disrupt and lift biofilm to optimize collection of microorganisms. Unlike traditional fiber tipped swabs, PUR-Blue™ Swab Samplers use medical grade polyurethane foam tips, that resist tearing and fraying, making it a better choice for sampling rough surfaces. The PUR-Blue Swab Sampler comes pre-moistened with Letheen or Hi-Cap Neutralizing broth. By neutralizing residual sanitizers on the sampled surface and maintaining the viability of the collected microorganisms for up to 72 hours, HiCap prevents false negative test results and accurately quantifies microorganisms.
